Built in 1909 as the westernmost freight terminus for the famous Milwaukee Railroad, Freighthouse Square has been a Tacoma landmark for over 105 years. The Square is a 110,000 sq. ft. indoor urban shopping experience at the epicenter of Tacoma’s burgeoning Dome District. The building itself is over 1,000 feet long, stretching three city blocks and is five stories tall. Plus it is home to a unique blend of locally-owned food vendors in the popular “International Food Court”, unique merchants and business services. Just 2 blocks north of the Tacoma Dome and the LeMay Car Museum, Freighthouse Square is also at the nucleus of Tacoma’s busy transportation hub.
Freighthouse Square is now officially renamed to the “Freighthouse Station Marketplace”. New signage is coming for our 105 year old historic landmark building.
